You will be part of a transdisciplinary team, providing formulation‑led, person‑centred care in the Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation service for adult patients with acquired brain injury and challenging behaviour. Supervising an Assistant Psychologist and working closely with clinicians from a range of disciplines, your specialist input will be key in achieving good patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Create and deliver specialist psychological assessment and therapy programmes.
* Supervise and manage other members of the Psychology profession employed within the service.
* Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to residents’ formulation, diagnosis and treatment plans.
* Offer guidance to facilitate the effective and appropriate provision of psychological treatments by other members of the transdisciplinary team.
* Contribute to specialised assessments as required, including risk and capacity, and provide advice on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management.
* Engage in local and national networks to raise the profile of Moorlands Neurological Centre and Elysium Neurological.
* Ensure non‑medical therapeutic approaches are underpinned by an appropriate conceptual model and evidence base, measuring effectiveness.
* Monitor service‑level clinical outcome measures and identify areas for continual improvement.
Qualifications
* Registered Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration.
* Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited and HCPC approved) or equivalent.
* Chartered Member of the BPS.
* Enrolled on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists or actively working towards this.
* Evidence of continued innovative practice through peer endorsement (journal papers, book chapters, conference presentations).
* Management experience with team leadership.
* Evidence of engagement in ABI networks.
