Responsibilities
* Support the delivery and promotion of more than 160 events each year, providing administrative, operational and marketing support for the Museum’s venue hire business.
* Respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, maintain booking systems and coordinate communications with clients and suppliers to ensure a professional and seamless customer experience.
* Play a key role in marketing activity for venue hire: develop campaigns, maintain event imagery and ensure information across digital channels is accurate and engaging.
* Assist with the operational coordination of daytime events and support the preparation of evening events as part of the wider Events Team.
* Handle regular manual tasks and work at heights as required by the role.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience supporting or coordinating events.
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Strong written communication skills; experience producing engaging marketing content.
* Confidence communicating with a wide range of clients and stakeholders, both in person and over the telephone.
* Proactive, detail‑focused and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy team environment.
* Willingness to undertake practical tasks such as moving furniture, signage and basic AV equipment.
* Experience working in a museum, gallery or similar cultural environment is advantageous.
* Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or Photoshop is advantageous.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full‑time post, working 36.5 hours per week. The role requires regular manual handling and working at heights.
Due to the nature of this post, a satisfactory Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required because of access to Museum collections.
