Hours: Part-time 21.6 hours per week (3 days), term time only The role: Blackheath High School is seeking a compassionate and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a student with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). You will help the student to manage emotional regulation, executive functioning and transitions throughout the school day, fostering their independence and supporting their well-being in both academic and social environments. Working closely with teaching staff, the SENCo, parents, therapists, and external agencies, you will help ensure that the student receives consistent and appropriate support that allows them to thrive. Regular monitoring and reporting on the students progress, wellbeing, and engagement will be a key aspect of the role. About you We are looking for an empathetic, patient, and resilient individual with a strong commitment to inclusion and child-centred support. You will have previous experience of working with children or young people with Autism and/or ADHD, along with a solid understanding of self-regulation strategies and/or training in related approaches (e.g. Zones of Regulation, sensory integration, and CBT-informed approaches).
