Are you a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for more influence, variety, and long-term progression within a growing consultancy? Im currently supporting a well-established but expanding consultancy in the Midlands that is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role across a diverse portfolio of major projects. This position offers the opportunity to move beyond pure delivery into a more advisory-led role, working closely with clients on commercial strategy and project performance. The Role This is a broad and influential position where youll take ownership of the commercial function across multiple projects, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while ensuring strong financial and contractual control throughout. Responsibilities will include: Developing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting Providing strategic commercial input from early-stage planning through to completion Managing contract administration across a range of standard forms (including NEC) Leading on change management, variations, and dispute avoidance Reviewing and negotiating contractor submissions and commercial positions Supporting procurement activities, including tender evaluation and contract selection Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders Contributing to the development of internal processes and best practice Supporting and guiding junior team members About You Experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level within the built environment (infrastructure, energy, or major projects) Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence project outcomes Good working knowledge of NEC or similar contract forms Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline MRICS qualified or working towards (desirable, not essential) Confident communicator who enjoys a client-facing role Able to manage a varied workload across multiple projects Whats on Offer £65,000 - £75,000 salary depending on experience Midlands-based role with flexible / hybrid working Exposure to a varied project portfolio offering real breadth and challenge Clear pathway for progression as the business continues to grow Support with professional development and chartership A collaborative, close-knit team environment where your input is valued This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, building client relationships, and having a genuine impact on project outcomes-rather than simply managing the numbers.
