Senior BMS Engineer – London
(Building Management Systems / Smart Buildings / Commissioning & Integration)
We’re working with one of the UK’s most forward-thinking building technology companies to find a Senior BMS Engineer to join their growing London team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who’s passionate about smart buildings, system integration, and energy-efficient control solutions.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for leading the commissioning, upgrades, and optimisation of Building Management Systems across a diverse range of commercial, education, and public sector sites. Working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you’ll take ownership of delivering high-quality BMS projects from design through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commissioning, testing, and optimisation of BMS and control systems
* Carry out system upgrades, fault-finding, and performance tuning
* Support the design, configuration, and graphics development for BMS projects
* Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and end clients to ensure smooth project delivery
* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team
* Ensure all works meet relevant compliance and documentation standards
Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience working with Building Management Systems (Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, or similar)
* Proven background in commissioning, integration, and project delivery
* Strong understanding of HVAC principles and building services
* Experience with networking, open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, MQTT), and modern integration tools
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills
* ECS/CSCS and relevant electrical or controls qualifications
