The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with prospective and operational and business users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into technology product requirements.
2. Align with the vision for the team’s product and maintaining the cohesive vision throughout the SDLC process. Create a product roadmap based on this vision.
3. Managing the product backlog and prioritizing the tasks based on challenging and often competing requirements.
4. Active participation in stages of the technology product creation; during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects
5. Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process; Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
6. Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives
7. Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards
8. Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions
9. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
10. Working with the wider product team and end users to deliver updates and status reports and active participation in all scrum activities and product sprints.
Qualifications:
11. Eperience in product companies as product owner/manager.
12. Experience delivering strategic change programs spanning multiple years in a fast paced, financial product company.
13. Adept in agile practices and strong ability to develop, manage and continuously prioritise backlog.
14. Product knowledge of Margin & collateral, OTC Derivatives or payments flows or related domain is a plus.
15. Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively add product impact to both strategic and tactical technology
16. Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations and Technology environments
17. Strong risk management and control mindset
18. Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources
19. Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
20. Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business as advisor, and business partner to the organization with a clear client orientation.
21. Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.
22. Ability to conceptualize aspects of the organization’s model and its future development.
23. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
24. Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle and agile practices for software development and delivery.
25. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis.
Education:
26. Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
