The Opportunity
Hinkley Point ‘C’ (HPC) is a vital part of the UK’s future energy strategy. As the first of the UK’s new nuclear power stations, HPC is high profile and complex, delivered by multidisciplinary teams. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will oversee activities related to the full lifecycle of major contracts, reporting to the Project Manager and ensuring delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and handover phases, in line with the project schedule.
Pay, Benefits, and Culture

What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the Project Manager in delivering project and contract scope for HPC.
* Interfacing with key teams within NNB to support project delivery.
* Developing and supporting management systems for project controls, including planning and document control.
* Assisting in managing technical work streams to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
* Implementing wider NNB arrangements and advising on necessary actions.
* Supporting the application of Earned Value Management (EVM) and liaising with suppliers.
Who You Are
You are a highly skilled professional with strong communication and management skills, holding a degree in engineering, construction, or related fields. Membership with the Association of Project Managers (APM) or familiarity with its principles is beneficial.
You have excellent communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and experience in budget analysis and forecasting. You can work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work independently with precision. French language skills are advantageous. You must meet security vetting criteria, including UK residency for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
