Conveyancing Legal Assistant – Brighouse A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a busy residential property team within a well-regarded legal practice in Brighouse. This full-time, office-based position suits someone with at least a year of hands-on experience in residential sales and purchases. The role centres on client service and calls for a professional, approachable and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You will support Fee Earners and Solicitors with a high-volume caseload and should feel confident managing administrative duties from file opening through to completion. This role provides long-term progression and the chance to build your skills within a supportive and collaborative team. Main duties include: Opening new matters and entering client information into the case management system Preparing initial correspondence, legal documents and contracts for sale files Managing transactions in line with internal processes Ordering searches and preparing reports for clients Supporting exchange of contracts, completions and associated work Responding to calls and emails from Clients, Estate Agents and Solicitors Handling incoming and outgoing mail Assisting with general office administration including filing, billing and archiving Required skills and experience: A minimum of twelve months' experience as a Conveyancing Assistant handling sales and purchases Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail Good IT skills and accurate typing Clear communication, both written and verbal Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure Professional, friendly and committed to client care Comfortable working independently or within a team Flexible, proactive and willing to contribute Why join?
