Overview
A supportive primary school in South Bootle is looking for a skilled and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September, working on a 1:1 basis with a KS2 pupil who has ADHD. The role requires someone with strong behaviour management skills and proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to make a real impact in a KS2 pupil's learning journey.
Responsibilities
* Providing consistent 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with ADHD
* Implementing strategies to help with focus, routines, and self-regulation
* Supporting behaviour management using positive and consistent approaches
* Assisting with classroom learning, adapting tasks to meet the child\'s needs
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children with ADHD or challenging behaviour (essential)
* Strong behaviour management strategies and resilience in challenging situations
* A calm, patient and nurturing approach
* Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children
* Team player with good communication skills
