Working closely with the UK Sales and Service teams, the HGV Driver Trainer will play a key role in delivering professional driver training and supporting product demonstrations. This position is ideal for a confident HGV-qualified professional who enjoys customer-facing work, hands-on equipment operation, and frequent travel.
What's involved for the HGV Driver Trainer
* Deliver on-site HGV operator and driver training to customers, ensuring health & safety and best practice standards are met
* Provide driver training at customer premises or company HQ on specialist equipment
* Support the sales team by carrying out professional demonstrations of equipment, and specialist HGV machinery
* Transport demonstration equipment to customer sites, with overnight stays (typically several days per week)
* Work directly with customer personnel to showcase equipment features, benefits, and full operating capabilities
* Assist with operator training following delivery of new vehicles and equipment
* Deliver new machines to customers when required
* Tailor demonstrations in line with Sales Manager requirements
* Work closely with Sales and Service teams to ensure a consistent customer experience
* Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through regular training
What you'll need
* HGV driving licence
* Knowledge of UK driving hours regulations
* Experience operating commercial vehicles or specialist equipment
* Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage at all customer levels
* Good general education, including English and Maths
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Professional appearance, adhering to corporate standards

This is a full-time, permanent HGV Driver Trainer role, working 40 hours per week, with flexibility required up to 45 hours per week to meet business demands.
