Your new company A privately owned, market leading manufacturing company with a reputation for quality and innovation is seeking to appoint a commercially focused Financial Controller. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the finance function and contribute directly to the company's strategic and commercial success.Your new role The Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and systems development. The role requires a hands-on, commercially minded professional who can collaborate effectively across departments, particularly with operations and supply chain teams. Key Responsibilities Include: Full responsibility for the finance function, including month-end and year-end processes. Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Implementation and enhancement of financial controls and compliance procedures. Analysis of manufacturing costs and contribution to profitability improvement initiatives. Development of ERP systems and reporting tools to support business decision-making. Management of relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions. Delivery of strategic financial insight to support business planning and growth. What you'll need to succeed Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience within the manufacturing sector is essential. Strong IT proficiency, including advanced Excel and familiarity with ERP systems Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively. Commercially focused, with a proactive and improvement-oriented mindset.
