Project Manager - Rail at Amey (Permanent)
Location: York (Remote working, 37.5 hrs per week).
What You’ll Do
* Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with Key Processes and Safety Responsibility.
* Create and manage the OPI program and ensure its delivery to time, budget and specification, updating the National OPI Manager with all regional progress information as required.
* Manage the OPI surveyors and resource the program requirements.
* Create accurate forecasts for resource capacity and needs in line with programme requirements.
* Arrange access for Building Surveyors to Network Rail buildings and property.
* Ensure that all work is completed to satisfy the requirements of the Contract KPI’s.
* Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Network Rail to understand and implement their requirements.
* Support the procurement of suppliers and sub-contractors (with support from the commercial team) to support and enhance core team delivery.
* Ensure that all surveying staff are fully trained, hold the correct track safety and other appropriate safety competences (e.g., confined spaces, PASMA) for their role and maintain/update these as required.

What You’ll Bring
* Qualified Project Manager (APM) or Building Surveyor at HNC/HND level (RICS, CIOB).
* Significant project management experience delivering civils projects (preferably in railway infrastructure) with responsibility for P&L at project level.
* Knowledge of technical and operational structures/buildings in engineering/surveying/project management.
* Previous rail industry experience and knowledge of railway practice.
* Knowledge of NR/L2/CIV/1000 competence requirements.
* Knowledge of Network Rail assets and how they are managed.
* Knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Systems.
* Knowledge of Citadel system.
* Full UK Driving licence.
