As Sous Chef, you will be expected to support the Head Chef with the day-to-day operation throughout Kaboodle and the Holiday Inn Express, overseeing the kitchen operation. This full-time role will focus on maintaining high culinary standards, managing kitchen operations, and fostering a positive, professional working environment. You will play a key part in developing menus, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities: • Work alongside the Head Chef to deliver consistently high-quality dishes and menus. • Oversee kitchen operations and deputise for the Head Chef in their absence. • Train, mentor, and support junior members of the kitchen team. • Manage stock control, ordering, and minimise waste. • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and allergen regulations. • Assist in menu planning, incorporating seasonal produce and customer feedback. • Contribute to maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-organised kitchen. • Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve operational and financial goals. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up. • Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and creative cooking. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Organised, with the ability to perform under pressure and maintain attention to detail. • Flexible, reliable, and an excellent team player. • Knowledge of stock management and kitchen cost control.
