Job overviewThis is an exciting opportunity to join our Urgent Care Service, working across all teams to ensure an efficient & high quality service is provided to the Single Point of Access (SPA) and Central Flow Hub (CFH), Stepdown Houses, the Integrated Discharge Team (IDT) and the Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS).We are looking for an individual that is motivated, enthusiastic and proactive with a wide range of office skills to provide business support to the Urgent Care services and provide PA support to the Director of Urgent CareThe post holder will work closely with the Urgent Care Business Manager and Service Managers across urgent care supporting them in service delivery.They will also work closely with the Jameson Business lead as Administrative Lead for the Urgent Care Service.This is full time post - 37.5 hours, based at the Gordon Hospital - a very convenient Central London location.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be responsible for providing operational management, support, supervision and oversight to the Urgent Care Services, working across all teams to ensure an efficient and high quality service. They will provide PA support to the Director of Urgent care, providing diary management and meeting organisation; and will also act as Administrative Lead for Urgent Care.Please note: This vacancy does not meet the criteria for Skilled Worker sponsorship, unless you meet the criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. “Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024."As such, if you don’t meet the Transitional Provision (above) we are unable to consider your application unless you can provide documentary evidence of your right to work in the United Kingdom.

We care for you as much as you care for others.Detailed job description and main responsibilities**Please see full job description for further information**Oversee the Associate Practitioners, Administrators and Admin Managers in their day to day activities at the Single Point of Access (SPA) and Central Flow Hub (CFH) and wider Urgent Care Services, as well as ensuring a smooth operation in all Urgent Care teams, escalating issues and reporting highlights as appropriate.Provide training and support to staff when there are changes to processes and systems, and to work with service managers to ensure adequate training in systems used across Urgent Care are achieved.To support the Urgent Care Business Manager in managing change and improving processes and systems across the Urgent Care Service.To participate, and where necessary lead on IT improvement initiatives in the Urgent Care service, managing good relationship with technical partners to ensure the smooth running of the Teams and a rapid response to any technical issues that arise.To take the lead and support in any audits and quality monitoring initiatives by collecting, collating, analysing and presenting all activity data across the Urgent Care Service.Person specificationEducation and QualificationsEssential criteria- Educated to degree level or relevant experience- Evidence of continuous learning throughout careerDesirable criteria- Business qualificationPrevious ExperienceEssential criteria- Experience of administrative systems at a senior level.- Experience of supporting projects through to successful completion.- Experience of working in the NHS or Local Authority- Experience of budget managementDesirable criteria- Experience of staff supervision and management- Experience of staff rota and rostering management- Experience in SystmOne specifically as a clinical systemSkills Knowledge and AbilitiesEssential criteria- Excellent IT skills and confident in using Microsoft Office software- Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally- Experience of minute taking in meetingsAttitudes, Aptitudes & Personal CharacteristicsEssential criteria- Self-awareness.
