Baildon Town Council, a vibrant and proactive local council, is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Deputy Clerk to join our small, dedicated team. You'll contribute to a wide range of projects and initiatives that make a real difference in our community.
Location:
Based above Baildon Library in the heart of Baildon centre, surrounded by the stunning landscapes of Baildon Bank, woodlands, the River Aire, Baildon Moor, and Shipley Glen—part of the Bradford Pennine Gateway National Nature Reserve. Enjoy excellent transport links to Shipley, Bradford, and Leeds via bus and rail.
Hours
: Full-time, 37 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work.
Salary
: £32,597–£36,363 (NJC scale 20–25).

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Town Clerk in managing council services, resources, and operations.
Oversee contracts and financial processes.
Support the implementation of council decisions and policies, particularly for the Economy, Environment, and Community Committees.
Manage environmental and maintenance contracts.
Take accurate minutes during meetings.
