Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team in Stoke on Trent. Key Responsibilities of Site Engineer: Support the successful delivery of multiple regional projects by carrying out site engineering duties in line with contract requirements and company standards. Set out works accurately from contract drawings and establish survey and level controls, ensuring regular checks are completed and recorded throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance by promoting safe working practices, following company procedures, and ensuring all activities are delivered safely and responsibly. Ensure quality workmanship by adhering to best practices, minimising defects and snags, and identifying opportunities for value engineering where possible. Keep accurate site records and documentation in line with organisational and legal requirements, including site diaries, allocation sheets, ITPs, and task briefings. Assist with planning and coordination by producing procurement schedules, liaising with the procurement team to secure adequate resources, and preparing 2-week look-ahead programmes alongside the Site Agent. Identify and resolve technical issues or unexpected site challenges efficiently to maintain project progress and minimise disruption. Required Experience for Site Engineer: Essential Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations Fully conversant with the use of robotic total stations or EDM instruments Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering Excellent communication skills Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook Desirable Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office Temporary-works co-ordination CSCS card Cable avoidance training First aid training NEBOSH or IOSH
