Key responsibilities
1. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business challenges, needs, and opportunities.
2. Utilise data analysis techniques to uncover insights, inform decision-making, and measure the impact of digital innovation initiatives.
3. Aid with prioritising the most impactful changes and translating discovery and research into recommendations, accompanied by clear, concise, and actionable user stories.
4. Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of digital solutions, supporting successful proof of concepts and trials, ensuring they align with business objectives and user needs.
5. Support project management activities, including planning, tracking, and reporting on progress.
6. Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
7. Supporting the Digital Innovation Manager with Council-wide initiatives, such as Innovation Arenas and Promptathons.
Candidate requirements
8. Proven experience as a Digital/Systems Business Analyst or similar equivalent experience gained in a comparable role, ideally within a public sector or similar environment.
9. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with and support stakeholders at all levels.
11. A solid understanding of digital technologies and their potential applications.
12. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
13. A passion for innovation and a desire to make a positive impact on our community.
14. Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
