Employee Communications Manager (AVP) (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Join us as an Employee Communications Manager (AVP) on a 12-month fixed-term contract at Barclays. Support our UK divisions within the Corporate Communications team, working closely with Senior Employee Communications Managers to develop insight-driven communication strategies that engage employees effectively.
The role requires strong experience in internal communications, including writing for intranets and Viva Engage, translating complex messages into clear stories, and creating impactful content across various channels. You will also utilize data and insights to inform strategies and measure employee sentiment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement communication strategies that foster engagement and influence employee behavior, aligned with organizational goals.
* Build strong partnerships with senior leaders to advise on employee engagement and communication tactics.
* Create content for internal channels, including intranet, social media, and events, ensuring clarity and relevance.
* Use data and insights to evaluate communication effectiveness and adapt strategies accordingly.
* Support change initiatives and manage crisis communications when necessary.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in employee communications roles.
* Exceptional writing skills and ability to simplify technical information.
* Experience with data analysis to gauge employee sentiment.
* Strong content creation and channel management skills, including MS365 experience.
* Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
* Creative mindset with a proactive approach to new formats and ideas.
* Ability to understand and support different business areas.
