Job summary
To handle a caseload, beginning with 50 conveyancing files, dealing with all aspects of Residential Conveyancing transactions.
Main duties and requirements
Provide advice and assistance to clients in relation to Residential Conveyancing matters including:
* Investigation of Title and other legal Issues.
* Prepare Contracts.
* Report on Searches.
* Mortgage Report.
* Preparation of Transfers.
* Preparation of Stamp Duty Land Transaction Returns.
* Competently drafting non-standard correspondence.
* Manage regular files updates and supervise support staff when providing updates on your behalf.
Preferred skills and experience
* Working knowledge and experience in Residential Conveyancing matters, to be able to act confidently for a range of clients.
* Good risk management skills, complying with regulatory requirements such as money laundering and data protection and attending on-going training.
* Good file management procedures.
* Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to delegate and supervise team members.
* Ability to mentor and coach team members to a good standard.
* Attend training courses as necessary to remain up to date with changes in the law and conveyancing procedures.
* Capable of adapting to constantly changing requirements and deadlines.
* Experience of working with Case Management systems.
* Excellent PC/Keyboard skills.
