The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Press Operator to join our busy graphics department. This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in preparing high-quality artwork and repro files for lithographic, screen, and digital print production.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, check, and optimise customer artwork for different print processes.
* Carry out repro tasks including trapping, colour separation, step & repeat, and proofing.
* Ensure artwork is accurate, compliant with print specifications, and meets customer expectations.
* Operate and maintain pre-press software and equipment including RIPs and proofing systems.
* Work closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow.
* Manage multiple projects to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
* Troubleshoot artwork and colour issues to avoid delays in production.
* Support continuous improvement and maintain high standards of quality control.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a pre-press or reprographics role, ideally within corrugated packaging or print.
* Strong understanding of lithographic, screen, and digital print processes.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and pre-press software such as Esko ArtPro. Knowledge of ArtiosCAD would be an advantage.
* Excellent eye for detail with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to interpret customer briefs and technical drawings.
* Well organised with the ability to manage several projects at once.
* A strong communicator and team player.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
