Job Overview

Are you ready to make a difference in clinical research? Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and motivated Band 4 Associate Research Practitioner to join our vibrant Research and Innovation department. This is an exciting opportunity for both internal and external candidates to be part of a forward-thinking team delivering a diverse portfolio of clinical research studies.

As an Associate Research Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting and managing care pathways for research participants, including recruitment, education, monitoring, and accurate data collection. Clinical experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided—making this the perfect step into the clinical research world.


Main duties of the job

* Collaborate with Principal Investigators, Lead Research Nurses, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver a high-quality clinical trials service
* Support the informed consent process, ensuring patients understand their participation and rights
* Maintain meticulous data collection and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) guidelines
* Provide cover for colleagues and assist in audit activities as needed
* Act as a professional role model, promoting best practice within research activities

This role is primarily based at Frimley Park Hospital with some cross-site working required.

* Good level of education, Maths and English, degree or be prepared to work towards this qualification
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Excellent computer and IT skills
