that combines
50% data insights/analysis
and
50% systems testing
. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both data and technology, writing SQL queries to extract and analyse data while also ensuring that systems and applications are robust, reliable, and performing to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dual role, switching comfortably between extracting business insights from complex datasets and methodically testing new systems, features, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
* Write, optimise, and maintain
SQL queries
to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.
* Collect, clean, and analyse basic datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
* Understand requests for creating dashboards and support the data analyst in building them using Power BI.
* Provide data-driven recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across platforms.
Systems Testing
* Design, plan, and execute test cases, test scripts, and UAT for system enhancements and new implementations.
* Collaborate with developers and project teams to improve system quality and performance.
* Support test automation initiatives where possible.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven experience in a data analysis or systems testing role (ideally both).
* Basic SQL skills
* Proficiency with data visualisation and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
* Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and defect management.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
* Degree in Computer Science, Data, or related discipline.
