Job role: Purchase Ledger Assistant
Location: Southampton
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
Money: £25,000 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity available for the position of Purchase Ledger Assistant at our client’s Southampton location. This role primarily involves handling the purchase ledger function while providing administrative support to the Sales Ledger.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger administrative functions. They should demonstrate the capability to maintain up-to-date and organised administration to ensure the team's efficiency.
Purchase Ledger Assistant responsibilities:
Reconciling supplier statements and obtaining copy invoices, including credit card statements.
Obtaining manager approval for invoices.
Managing incoming emails, queries, statements, and telephone calls.
Supporting the setup of payment runs.
Assisting in the reconciliation of the account ahead of the Direct Debit.
Purchase Ledger Assistant requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with accounting systems, ideally Autoline.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Strong communication skills.
Attention to detail.
