Compliance & Governance Administrator – Multidisciplinary Consultancy. Portsmouth (Office-Based with Flexible Working Options). Note: candidates must be able to travel to the Portsmouth office for this role; 1 day a week WFH is possible.

We’re looking for a Compliance & Governance Administrator to join our growing team, supporting governance processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and helping to embed best practice across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to build their career in compliance, governance, or risk management, with flexibility and professional development encouraged.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Coordinate and support board and committee meetings including agendas, papers, and accurate minutes.
* Maintain governance records, registers, and action logs.
* Assist with monitoring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and statutory obligations.
* Support the implementation and review of risk management frameworks.
* Help ensure timely submission of regulatory filings and reports.
* Assist in the development, review, and communication of governance policies and procedures.
* Act as a first point of contact for governance queries from internal and external stakeholders.
* Support staff inductions and training on governance-related matters.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in governance systems and processes.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Eligibility for (or ability to achieve) UK Government Security Clearance.
* Previous experience in a governance, compliance, or legal support role.
* Knowledge of corporate governance principles and regulatory frameworks.
* Exposure to ISO standards.
* Auditor qualification, degree, or professional qualification in a related field.
* Governance-related certifications (e.g. ICSA, CIPFA).
