Role: Sales Manager
Location: Hitchin
Alcedo Selection is proud to be partnered with a globally recognised successful German material manufacturing/engineering company looking to increase its business in the UK. They service a diverse range of sectors including Medical, Aerospace, Electonics and many more. they have a vast range of sector accreditations including AS9100D for Aerospace standards. They operate out of 3 sites in the UK and are looking to appoint a Sales Manager at the Hitchin site.
The role of Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the internal sales team to achieve revenue and KPI Targets, drive customer service and support external sales.
The role focuses on overseeing inside sales operations, developing strategies to improve sales performance whilecollaborating with other departments and sites.
The position is also customer facing including management of key accounts, hosting customer visits and assisting with external visits will be required. Visiting sister companies and assisting with marketing – such as exhibitions – will also be part of the role.
This role will involve dealing with customers hands on, including pricing and negotiations, managing contracts and stocking agreements and processing of quotations and orders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales strategy and execution
* Develop and implement effective strategies maximise sales with existing and new accounts
* Monitor and report the sales KPI’s
Customer Management
* Oversee account management and customer service activities
* Improve our quotation and follow up processes to improve conversion
* Maintain our high standards of customer service and monitor customer satisfaction
Management
* Daily management of the small Hitchin sales team
* Approval of holidays, conflict resolution, etc.
* Assess training requirements for development of team capabilities
