Abatec is assisting their client, a leading regional civil engineering contractor with the recruitment of an experienced, permanent Site Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering works across a major water & wastewater infrastructure in the South West.
Our client has secured long-term and stable work on the 5-year AMP 8 capital delivery and minor works frameworks, supporting delivery of civil engineering works that maintain, refurbish, refresh and construct new water and wastewater assets.
As Site Engineer you will:
* Set out, manage, and oversee construction activities on site
* Ensure works are delivered safely, to specification, and to programme
* Manage subcontractors, QA records, and technical documentation
* Work closely with Project Managers, design teams, and commercial teams
* Support buildability reviews and technical problem-solving on complex structures and civils works
* Promote and uphold high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
Our client requires a Site Engineer with:
* Background in water-biased civils, infrastructure, structures, or heavy civil engineering projects
* Experience delivering RC structures, pipelines, deep excavations, or large infrastructure works
* Strong setting out, technical, and site delivery skills
* Experience and understanding of AutoCAD
* Full UK driving License
Salary and benefits include:
* £40,000 - £50,000 p/a
* Company vehicle / allowance
* 25 days paid holidays per annum
