In this temporary to permanent role, you will play a crucial part in the production process, operating machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient production of steel. Hours : Monday to Friday 7am- 3.30pm Monday to Friday Bonus paid after 12 weeks As a Steel Operator/Production Operator, your responsibilities will include: · Safely operating bending machinery and tools, following instructions to complete production tasks · Performing physical/manual work, including lifting and moving steel bars · Prioritising and completing production activities according to instructions · Setting up or adjusting equipment based on manufacturing specifications · Monitoring product quality and taking appropriate action when needed · Maintaining accurate production records for analysis · Using measuring tapes and operating overhead cranes (training provided) · Working in a heavy industry steel environment that requires heavy lifting and manual work You will enjoy a range of benefits, including overtime opportunities, an annual Christmas shutdown of up to 2 weeks, above statutory annual leave, and free on-site parking.
