Overview
We are looking for temporary Support Musicians to work within the Torry community of Aberdeen.
The position is a training role designed for those who would like to gain hands-on experience in Big Noise principles, philosophy, and curriculum. The role is during school term only, between 7 and 14 hours per week, worked between Monday and Thursday (exact hours and days to be confirmed with successful applicants). The successful applicants will work closely with Big Noise Torry Musicians and Support Workers, who provide teaching and support opportunities, constructive feedback, and guidance on all elements of Big Noise. Training opportunities are offered on topics such as positive behaviour, lesson planning, and various methodologies including the Big Noise curriculum.
This is a temporary opportunity until the end of June 2026 and is open to individuals who are living (or planning to live) within a commutable distance of Aberdeen. Salary for this post will be £25,848 per annum, pro rata (£14.20 per hour).

* Observe Big Noise teaching and support the successful running of the programme.
* Work closely with Big Noise Torry Musicians and Support Workers to provide teaching support, feedback, and guidance on all elements of Big Noise.
* Engage in training opportunities on topics such as positive behaviour, lesson planning, and the Big Noise curriculum.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Open to individuals who are living (or planning to live) within a commutable distance of Aberdeen.
* Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
* PVG check required for successful applicants.
* All applicants will be considered regardless of diverse musical and cultural backgrounds.
* Selection process will include a panel interview, a short audition, and a demonstration lesson (location: Torry, Aberdeen; date to be confirmed).
