Service Manager and Clinical Lead - Walsall CAMHS

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the CAMHS Service provides a quality specialist service to service users (and their families/carers), across all sectors of care in Walsall. They will be required to participate as a member of a multi-professional team, offering both clinical and managerial leadership and direction.
This role will provide clinical leadership and expertise to deliver services within an agreed service/care pathway, working with service users and carers, and other stakeholders — including referrers and commissioners.
Main duties of the job
This post holder will be providing advice and supervision in the management of referrals and caseloads for clinicians within both elements of the service. They will manage and develop staff within the team to ensure that they are providing quality care, which is innovative, effective, evidence based and in keeping with national guidance that always acknowledges and respects the rights and personal dignity of individuals.
The post holder will ensure that all staff receive appropriate training, supervision and appraisals as an integral part of the role. This lead role will also ensure that performance data is reported adequately and that complaints and concerns across the teams are addressed using the Trust's formats and processes.
The post holder will work to establish effective multi-disciplinary working within and across CAMHS teams and play a lead role in the development of these provisions.

Person Specification
Essential & Desirable
* Qualified Clinical Professional
* Registration with NMC or HCPC or other relevant body recognised by the NHS
* Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
* Significant experience of working in CAMHS as a qualified applied psychologist/nurse or other within the designated service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and a range of clinical severity across a range of care settings, or evidence of managerial/leadership experience or senior practitioner roles.
* Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological/nursing practice
* Recognised management/leadership qualification.
