Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to be part of the development and management of the Ophthalmology Imaging Strategy for the North of Scotland, based at the National Treatment Centre-Highland, providing a standalone ophthalmic and vision science diagnostic service.
Your role will be to provide Ophthalmology imaging services to all outpatient, day case, and inpatient pathways as agreed, including managing associated databases and images.
You will provide a complex ophthalmic physiological sciences service, including diagnostic imaging, clinical investigations, tests of psychophysical function, and physiological measurement, to patients of all ages suffering from diseases of the eye and visual system.
You will develop and manage the ophthalmic photography service in accordance with the changing needs of the service across the North of Scotland.
You will undertake advanced interpretation of results and provision of reports, and will provide comprehensive support and education for undergraduate and postgraduate staff across the service.
You will be joining the Ophthalmology Service, which is part of the National Treatment Centre-Highland family, with opportunities to travel across the beautiful North of Scotland, including the Island Boards.
