Equans is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
This is a full-time role on a 12 month fixed term contract. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
* Perform general maintenance tasks across the site, including planned and reactive work.
* Work with fire dampers and associated damper solutions.
* Assist other trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspections, and installations.
* Carry out minor repairs to building fabric to maintain safety and security.
* Respond to weather-related incidents (e.g., gritting, snow clearing, flooding) in a safe and timely manner.
* Keep up with relevant training and development to maintain service quality.
* Travel to and carry out duties across multiple sites within the portfolio.
* Adhere strictly to Health & Safety policies at all times.
* Communicate effectively and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
* Minimise operational downtime by responding swiftly to maintenance requests.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date servicing records in line with statutory requirements.

Who are you?
* It would be beneficial if the you have previous experience of building service systems, technical services provision and general maintenance however training will be provided.
* Ideally you will have a good general construction background
* Due to the nature of the contract you must be able to obtain and maintain a Basic Disclosure Scotland.`
