Job Description
Principal Strategic Consultants are responsible for establishing trusted partnerships with customers, delivering roadmaps of high-impact engagements that progress the development of a data-driven culture, better utilising their data assets in order to achieve the realisation of their strategic goals
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients’ senior decision makers, helping them to assess their current data maturity levels, providing guidance and advice on their data strategies, helping to secure board level support, informing their plans and investments in decision intelligence and data management capabilities, contributing to a more mature data-driven culture and positioning TT Data & AI as their preferred delivery partner.
This is a role that requires someone with high levels of credibility as a thought leader in the strategic data space, with excellent client facing, trust building, analytical problem solving, facilitation and inter-personal communication skills, underpinned ideally by a proven track record of successful and transformational data programmes and building high-performing data teams.

An understanding of and enthusiasm for all things data, especially how it can support the realisation of our clients’ business strategy and objectives, and a proven track record of successfully helping organisations to realise value from their data are essential attributes.
A background in consulting is advantageous as the role will require the commercial skills and experience to grow and develop an advisory practice, a suite of service propositions and to grow awareness within the market for TT Data & AI as a leader in this field.
Objectives
* Establishing trusted consultative client relationships and helping guide and shape advisory engagements such as board engagement, maturity assessments, data governance advise and data strategies
* Working with the sales, professional services and managed services teams in order to plan the successful delivery of resulting data strategy roadmaps.
* Working on discovery engagements to help shape valuable use cases and compelling business cases based on robust value modelling
* Helping clients with change management and adoption to help them realise value from any technical solutions that TT have delivered.
* Advise clients on data management strategy elements such as master data management, data quality, high level data architecture including the processes and procedures that underpin these.
* Understand the range of value propositions available to customers from across TT Data & AI and Telefonica Tech and develop customer journeys that highlight how these can enable customers to achieve greater data success and maturity.
* Be available to consult with senior customer stakeholders around specific opportunities and challenges, providing advice to inform and support decision making around their journeys to data maturity and making relevant recommendations for how TT’s services can enable and accelerate the successful realisation of these recommendations.
* Contributing to the building of the Telefónica Tech data strategy methodologies and intellectual property
Qualifications
The Principal Strategic Consulting will be adept at and have a proven track record in the following areas:
* Empathising with clients, understanding their needs and challenges and providing relevant insights and guidance using our clients’ language.
* Developing credible and trusted working relationships with client decision makers and key influencers.
* Developing (or adopting) and applying innovative analytical, planning and consultative techniques to help clients to make informed decisions around their organisations’ journey to data maturity through (but not limited to):
o understanding their current levels of data culture maturity;
o defining and prioritising valuable use cases and associated business cases;
o planning a pragmatic roadmap to increased data maturity that accounts for the organisational culture and key stakeholders and groups.
* Understanding (or effectively gaining an understanding of) our clients’ businesses and their key, value-adding processes, the factors and issues that drive or limit performance.
* Maintaining an awareness of (and contributing to) the latest management and technical innovations driving data maturity and evaluating how and when to introduce them into client engagements.
* Growing and developing an advisory practice within a professional services business.
* Developing, taking to market and promoting service propositions.
* Developing a profile of thought leadership within the data and AI and consulting industries.
* Having a proven track record of successfully delivering strategic consulting engagements, ideally as a part of a well-recognised management or IT services consultancy.
* We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate to our customers that they have a strong track record of first-hand experience, successfully building high performing data teams, capabilities and solutions within businesses, developing and maturing the data cultures of those organisations and delivering demonstrable business value, aligned to business objectives.
* The ability to relate to and work with individuals across the organisation and with all levels of experience is essential.
* Understanding of the Data Products approach to delivering solutions and the ADKAR approach to change management
* Microsoft Data and AI experience advantageous
* Experience of data management tools such as Purview or CluedIn advantageous
