Full-time | London Campus | Must have the right to work in the UK, LIS is unable to sponsor visas. About The London Interdisciplinary School The challenges facing the world today are not theoretical. They are urgent, messy, and interconnected. And yet, most universities still train students in narrow silos, disconnected from the real world. LIS is doing things differently. We are the first university in over 50 years to be granted full degree-awarding powers from inception. Our mission is to prepare the next generation with the interdisciplinary tools, methods, and mindsets needed to tackle complex problems, and to thrive personally and professionally. We’ve moved from experimentation to disciplined scaling. Our founding undergraduate cohort graduated in 2024 at the Royal Institution, with 87% already in skilled work or further study. Our Master’s is growing fast, our first MBA is underway, and we’re delivering leadership programmes to organisations like the UK Health Security Agency and TSB Bank. All this powered by a talented team of 40 combining experience from Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, the RSA, British Airways, McKinsey, LEGO and more. LIS is building a niche, prestigious brand with global relevance. This is a rare chance to help shape a world-class institution from the ground up. The Role The Campus Host & Coordinator plays a central role in the everyday life of LIS. The role ensures the campus is welcoming, well-organised and ready for everything from daily student life to guest talks, open days and community events. Students are the heart of LIS. Our undergraduate students are based on campus every day during term, while our part-time students join us regularly for intensive in-person immersion weeks. The campus should feel vibrant, organised and ready for them to make the most of their time here. The same is true for our staff team, who are based on campus alongside students and contribute to the sense of community that makes LIS special. This role suits someone who enjoys creating great experiences for others. The successful candidate will take pride in making spaces work well, helping colleagues run memorable events, and ensuring students and visitors feel genuinely welcome on campus. It is also a role for someone with a “see it, fix it” mindset - someone who notices when something isn’t working and takes the initiative to improve it. Whether that’s responding quickly to a student request, improving a shared space, or helping an event run smoothly, the role involves making things better for the people around you. The role is based on campus five days per week and involves a mix of coordination, hands-on work and community-facing responsibilities. The role reports to our COO.
