To support the Director Of Group Risk Management in minimizing Group liabilities and protecting Group Assets through the implementation of insurance and risk management programmes.
Main Tasks:
● Support the DOGR in developing and implementing team strategy to optimise risk financing and transfer solutions including renewal of Group worldwide insurance programs.
● Support the renewal processes including completion of application and supplementary risk information.
● Management of relationship with global broker network and our businesses worldwide to ensure adherence by our overseas businesses to Group policy on the purchase of insurance and appointment of brokers.
● Management of the renewal information collection process, validating and verifying data to ensure disclosure requirements are met.
● Liaise with Group stakeholders on insurable risk matters and improve the understanding of global insurance programmes and insurance processes. Gain an understanding of developments to assess changes to risk profile and the impact of this on insurance programmes.
● Work with Brokers to improve insurance administration processes.
● Manage Pink Note, M&A and due diligence processes.
● Manage technical support to businesses, including insurance and risk management advice, contract and wordings, TWIMC information and certificates.
● Manage and coordinate the property risk survey programme including progression of risk improvement requirement and recommendations with insurers and brokers and monitor business performance in completing recommendations.
● Support the DOGRM in identifying emerging insurable risks and evaluating available insurance solutions that could be used to protect the Group’s balance sheet.
● Support DOGRM with MI for Senior Exec presentations and decision making.
● Support and develop remote / Milton Keynes based direct reports (currently 2).
Requirements:
1. At least 5 years insurance market (broker or insurer) and / or risk management / buying experience, managing complex risk financing / transfer processes including global and multi-national insurance programmes.
2. Ability to lead and manage risk management, financing and transfer processes
3. Ability to adapt to a fast moving environment.
4. Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to get the best out of direct reports.
5. Ability to work effectively alone and with a diverse, geographically spread team.
