Kitchen Porter – Gastro Pub on a Country Estate
We’re on the lookout for a reliable and hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our team at a busy gastro pub near Welshpool. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) where you’ll not only play a vital part in keeping the kitchen spotless and organised but also support our chefs with food prep.
As we’re based on an estate, unless you live locally, you’ll ideally have your own transport – car or motorbike – to get here.
Rate of pay £12.50ph to £13.50ph plus share of Grats. With overtime and Grats could take you to over £30k per year
What you’ll be doing:
* Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and running smoothly so the chefs can focus on cooking.
* Washing and organising cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
* Making sure work surfaces, ovens, grills, sinks, and storage areas are cleaned and sanitised.
* Taking in deliveries, storing food correctly, and keeping fridges/freezers in order.
* Disposing of waste safely and efficiently.
* Lending a hand with prep work such as chopping, peeling, and washing ingredients.
* Supporting the chefs and kitchen team wherever needed.
What we’re looking for:
* Someone dependable, organised, and ready to roll up their sleeves.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn – experience in a kitchen is a bonus but not essential.
* Team spirit – you’ll be part of a close-knit crew.
* Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
