We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Learning Disability Nurse to join our Neurodiversity team at HMP Thameside, a categoryB Prison located in Greenwich, South-East London.
In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
Hours
Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 16:00
This is full time role role working 37.5 hrs per week; however part-time hours can be considered (min 3 days per week).
Youll receive an annual salary up to £53,172per annum FTE - depending on experience.

As a Senior Learning Disabilities Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Requirements
* NMCRegistered Nurse Learning Disabilities
* Substantial experience working with adults with Learning disabilities with a range of clinical presentations. Evidence of working Learning disability health within a community or inpatient setting
* Evidence of use of a range of standardized and non-standardized behavioural assessment tools

Job responsibilities
As a Senior LearningDisabilities Nurse you will respond as directed by the Mental Health TeamManager in the day to day operational functioning of the Mental Health team.
You will haveresponsibility for a caseload and be accountable for all aspects of deliveringa nursing service for adults with learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour,within the criminal justice setting. You will be working with adults whosebehaviours have resulted in their offending and coming into contact with thecriminal justice system. You will be working with the multi-disciplinary teamto undertake person centred specialist behavioural assessments, planning andco-ordination of positive non aversive behavioural approaches to service users.
You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to;
Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seekingout, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalisedand informed by what matters to them.
Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promotingprofessional boundaries. You will play an active part in the assessment,planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following ourpolicies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
Inspire excellence in your colleagues by pro-actively leading andmotivating the team, recognising that our workforce is our most valuableasset. You will forge strong links withour partners and stakeholders, providing a service that people can trust, feelsafe within, and feel proud of.
