Due to continual growth Switch 2 are looking for the right person to fill the position of Project Manager in our Design and Build Team in the rapidly developing decentralised heat market in the UK. The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering low carbon heating and cooling networks to exceed our Customer expectations. Our pipeline will include retrofit as well as new build schemes. You will have an excellent understanding of Construction Project Management. You will be involved from early project development stage through to scheme close. You will have an excellent attitude to the pro-active management of Health and Safety of the project and be responsible for discharging the company obligations in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, and the Health and Safety at Work Act. It is preferable that you have a good understanding of Energy Utility Infrastructure; and previous experience of delivering residential and energy projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the project multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring the safe delivery of the scheme to cost, programme, and quality; and also improving ways of working and setting up systems to help us continually improve our ability to work effectively and efficiently. Typical accountabilities include: Reinforcing robust management of health and safety to industry best practice. Overall administration of the project, Reporting to Board on KPI’s including forecasting, value of work done, and risk depletion Proactive management of the critical path and, execution of subordinate tasks Proactive mitigation and depletion of project risk Reporting on key Performance Indices to target Continuous management of Tier 1, 2, and 3 project programme. leadership of the project multi-disciplinary team, resourcing and cost management Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress. Oversee supply chain and subcontractors ensuring timely delivery to the required quality Pro-actively dealing with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project Managing budgeting, resourcing and cost management Overseeing the maintenance of project records; ensuring a high standard of information. Be responsible for keeping projects running to time, cost and quality with support and input from other team members To be successful, we believe that you have the following experience: 5 years working experience in technical project management related role delivering projects to strict and challenging deadlines Professional Qualified: attained or working towards Chartered Status Ideally hold a Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying tertiary qualification at HND level or above Preferably hold a project management qualification (e.g: APM, Prince2, or PMI) High communication, and influencing skills, proficient at addressing Executive to team audiences.
