Here’s an example of what a Live In Carer might do.
What is the role?
Supporting people with all aspects of their daily life, including social and physical activities, personal care, mobility and meal times.Enabling people to remain in the comfort of their own home and assisting them to lead a meanigful and independent life. A live in carer must have good communications skills so that our service user's emotional well being is met just as well as their physical well being.
This role does not offer a sponsorship
Duties may include:
1. Assisting people with their shopping needs.
2. Supporting people with social and physical activities
3. Booking and accompanying people to appointments
4. Helping with personal care such as showering and dressing
5. Assisting people with eating and drinking
6. Monitoring individuals’ conditions by taking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and possibly helping with medication
7. To help people to have a voice by promoting their choices, preferences in how they want to live
8. To actively communicate with family, management teams and other disciplinary teams
