Learning & Development Consultant Full-Time, 12-month fixed-term contract £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE) Leeds (Hybrid – approx. 2 days a week in the office + some travel)⌛ Start date: ASAP in early 2026We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development Consultant to play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experience across a large, multi-functional business.This role will lead the design and delivery of a Career Pathways Strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders, people managers and subject matter experts to create clear, engaging progression routes that support performance, retention, talent development and succession planning.Alongside this, you’ll support broader L&D initiatives including induction, onboarding and learning journeys, acting as a trusted expert and point of escalation for complex learning queries.Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Career Pathways programme, from design through to implementationDevelop interactive career frameworks outlining competencies, critical skills, progression routes and timelinesCreate tools to support individual gap analysis and manager capabilityReview and align training and skills matrices to support career developmentReview existing induction and onboarding approaches and design improved, engaging experiencesCreate clear execution plans to support operational managersProvide one-to-one coaching to people managers where requiredCollaborate with HR colleagues to develop interactive onboarding content in a variety of formatsProvide accurate, high-quality progress updates and data to stakeholdersBuild strong relationships at all levels, including senior leadership and operational teamsWork closely with subject matter experts to deliver agreed learning outputsAbout YouProven experience designing and delivering learning programmesExperience managing complex learning or people-related projectsStrong working knowledge of Learning or Competency Management SystemsAbility to influence and engage stakeholders at all levelsExcellent communication, organisation and project management skillsStrong IT capability and confidence using digital tools to enhance learningCoaching experience would be advantageous CIPD Level 3 in Learning & Development Practice (or equivalent teaching/learning qualification)This is an excellent opportunity for an L&D professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and who is passionate about building meaningful career pathways and high-quality learning experiences.To apply or learn more, please send your CV to kerri@eyzon.co.uk, quoting reference PR/010426 or apply directly via the advert.
