Job Overview
The Logistics & Material Coordinator manages accurate stock control, kitting, and shipment preparation in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. They ensure stock accuracy, perform cycle counts, and maintain audit readiness under ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820. The role involves coordinating with couriers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to resolve shipping and documentation issues. They support the Supply Chain Lead in driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Duties
* The Stock Control and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for accurate stock handling, kitting of components, and preparing shipments with the required documentation. This role ensures accuracy in stock records and supports the Supply Chain Lead in meeting operational and regulatory requirements.
* · Kitting: Prepare accurate kits of materials and components for production and service requirements.
* · Stock Control: Maintain accurate stock movement records, cycle counts, and stock reconciliations.
* · Goods Receipt: Support receipt and inspection of incoming goods and ensure stock accuracy.
* · Shipping Preparation: Prepare shipments in compliance with customer, regulatory, and customs requirements.
* · Courier Liaison: Arrange collection of shipments, liaise with couriers, and resolve transport issues.
* · Customs & Documentation: Prepare commercial invoices, customs paperwork, and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
* · Continuous Improvement: Support process improvements for stock accuracy, warehouse organisation, and logistics efficiency.
* GMP, QA/RA knowledge & Audit Readiness: Ensure good housekeeping, adherence to SOPs, and readiness for audits
Experience
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Knowledge of ISO 13485 & FDA 21CFR Part 820 requirements (desirable)
* Experience with ERP systems for stock management
* Lean manufacturing process experience and understanding
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of logistics, shipping documentation, and customs processes
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
