Our Driver Attendants and Passenger Assistants play a vital role in supporting young people and their families — and we’d love you to be part of our team. Your ability to communicate clearly, confidently and with empathy will be key, making a real difference to how children and their families experience our service. Opportunities across Lancashire: Lancaster & Morecambe Chorley / West Lancashire Preston / South Ribble Fylde & Wyre East Lancashire (Burnley & surrounding areas) What You’ll Do You’ll support children and young people on their journey to and from school by: Providing a warm, caring and reassuring presence Communicating clearly and kindly with children, parents/carers, schools and colleagues Adapting your communication style to meet individual needs, including non-verbal or additional communication needs Helping children feel safe, confident and understood during their journey Supporting them to prepare for travel and get on and off the vehicle safely Ensuring safety equipment is used correctly Working closely with drivers, passenger assistants and transport teams to deliver a smooth, reliable service Who We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if you are: A great communicator who can build trust quickly with children, families and colleagues Patient, calm and able to listen and respond with empathy Confident speaking with a range of people, including those with additional needs Comfortable giving clear instructions and reassurance in a friendly, supportive way A team player with a passion for helping others Able to provide excellent, friendly customer service For Driver Attendant roles: a confident driver with a full UK driving licence Experience isn’t essential — your communication skills, attitude, empathy and commitment are what matter most.
