Job Overview
Senior Care Assistant position at Miramar Care Home, Kent. Your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, update care plans and records to reflect any changes.
* Participate in the person‑centred care planning process, implementing and evaluating plans monthly.
* Assist residents with medication requirements.
* Supervise staff and support staff development where required.
* Act as the main point of contact for residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
* DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
