We are looking for help with the delivery and installation of Christmas trees. Valley Provincial's interior office landscaping division supplies fully decorated Christmas trees for entrance halls, reception areas, office break-out areas, etc to office buildings in and around central London.
We are looking for OPERATIVES with a creative flair and experienced DRIVERS to join us for a fixed term period from mid-November through to mid-January 2026. This is temporary seasonal work from Monday through to Sunday each week. Hours of work are variable each week in line with an agreed rota to meet operational demands. This means that we are looking for staff who can commit to a minimum of 3 days each week, on any days in the week.
We'll be honest, days can be long, usually starting from 6am and you could be working for up to 10 hours each day. Whilst our clients are based in London, our teams start the day at our yard in Dartford (DA2 7SE) to be allocated the day's work. Candidates will need a reliable commute to our yard.
Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour depending on the role
The ROLES:
OPERATIVES – To work as part of a small team, to install and decorate Christmas Trees ranging from 6ft – 20ft, 24-inch wreaths and 9ft Garlands. Trees are required to be rectified in tree stands and fully decorated to a high finish with lights, baubles a topper and faux presents around the base. Wreaths & Garlands fully decorated with or without lights and baubles. Water to be put into the Tree stands for live trees. Client sites are swept clean, and all rubbish is removed and disposed of, before leaving with client approval for our admin records.
Then its back again in the New Year to dismantle, remove decorations and package into boxes provided to be returned to our Yard for the next year Live Christmas trees are removed from premises for recycling. Client sites are again swept clean and all rubbish to be removed and disposed of.
DRIVERS - We are looking for experienced drivers who are comfortable with central London traffic to help deliver and set up Christmas trees during the run-up to Christmas and collect them again during the week after Christmas. Depending on the clients, set up does include carrying the trees and decorations to site and sometimes assisting the operatives to finish displays. It's very much is a team effort
TEAM Qualities required:
· Ability to communicate clearly in English
· Courteous, customer-friendly manner
· Willing to work longer if necessary to complete the job
