Aerospace Composite Painter Location: YO62 6EZ Rate: £27 LTD Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We're looking for a skilled Aerospace Composite Painter to join our team, ensuring every customer receives a high-quality product that meets exacting aerospace standards. You'll play a vital part in the manufacturing process — preparing, masking, and painting composite components — to deliver a flawless finish that meets all safety, quality, and process requirements. Key Responsibilities Preparation & Painting: Prepare composite parts for painting, including degreasing, sanding, and filling using a variety of hand and power tools. Masking & Mixing: Mask products accurately and mix paints in line with specifications, carrying out associated tests and preparing test samples. Application: Apply paint using various techniques to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish. Documentation: Complete job cards and production records accurately and on time. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other departments to maintain workflow and resolve any issues quickly. Continuous Improvement: Identify and report improvement opportunities, helping to enhance productivity, safety, and quality. What We're Looking For Experience & Skills: Proven experience as a paint sprayer in an aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing environment. Strong surface preparation and paint application skills. Confident with hand tools and following detailed instructions and diagrams. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork. Desirable: Experience with composite materials or aerospace coatings. Understanding of COSHH and health & safety practices.
