A prominent secondary school in Barnet is seeking a proactive and energetic Welfare & Attendance Officer for a full-time role starting ASAP. This position is ideal for a practitioner who enjoys building strong relationships with families to ensure every student is safe and engaged.

Responsibilities
* Monitor daily attendance and punctuality, conducting home visits where necessary.
* Work with the safeguarding team to identify and support students at risk.
* Maintain accurate records of student welfare concerns and interventions.
* Lead meetings with parents and external agencies to resolve barriers to school attendance.
* Create and implement school-wide initiatives to celebrate high attendance.
Requirements
* Experience in a welfare, social work, or attendance role (school experience preferred).
* A compassionate yet firm approach to communication.
* Proficiency in tracking data and producing welfare reports.
* Must have the right to work in the UK.
