PMLD Classroom Care & Learning Assistant

Protocol Education is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced PMLD Classroom Care & Learning Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Gateshead. The school has a lovely, supportive staffing structure where teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of everything they do.
In this role you will:
* Support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties
* Deliver sensory and interactive learning experiences
* Assist pupils with daily care routines
* Support communication development
* Encourage engagement, independence and wellbeing
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience working in a PMLD or complex needs school
* Is confident supporting physical needs and personal care
* Has a compassionate and proactive approach
* Works well as part of a multi-disciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
