Stress Engineers | Aerospace, Automotive, or F1 | Contract\n\nJoin a leading engineering firm specialising in high-performance systems. We are seeking five Stress Engineers to contribute to critical projects within the automotive, F1, and aerospace sectors. These 12-month contracts focus on nacelle systems, non-turbo-machinery components, stress and fatigue analysis, and material validation.\n\nLocations: Derby, Inchinnan, or Bristol (Hybrid Remote)\n Rate: Up to £57 per hour (Inside IR35)\n Clearance: BPSS eligibility required\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nConduct stress and fatigue calculations on nacelle and structural components.\n\nSupport part lifting for PW and GE components.\n\nCollaborate with design teams to validate fatigue-resistant materials.\n\nAssess structural integrity using FEM tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and hand calculations.\n\nDocument findings, provide technical recommendations, and contribute to design reviews.\n\nCollaborate across multiple sites and adapt expertise to new applications.\n\nEssential Skills:\n\nProven experience in stress analysis within automotive, motorsport (F1), or aerospace sectors.\n\nExpertise in fatigue life prediction and material behaviour under cyclic loading.\n\nProficiency in FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and manual calculations.\n\nFamiliarity with nacelle systems and non-turbo-machinery components.\n\nWillingness to travel between sites.\n\nDesirable Skills:\n\nExperience with PW or GE components and standards.\n\nKnowledge of material science and development processes.\n\nFamiliarity with aerospace, automotive, or motorsport standards.\n\nNext Steps\n If you meet the criteria and are ready for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
