About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of female athletes and sports enthusiasts within a supportive and collaborative department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating PE lessons across the curriculum, catering to all students from Years 7 to 13. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating PE lessons, fostering a love of physical activity, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential. Integrate various sports and activities into the curriculum, promoting participation and skill development. Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable). Safe Learning Environment: Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment during PE lessons and extracurricular activities. Student Progress: Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals. Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning. Enrichment Activities: Coach and lead school sports teams, encouraging participation in inter-school competitions and events. Contribute to and potentially lead enrichment activities related to PE (e.g., sports clubs, fitness workshops, healthy lifestyle initiatives). Foster a love of sports and encourage students to explore their athletic interests beyond the curriculum. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Female PE Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience in a girls' school setting. A strong passion for PE and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement in girls' sports. Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current trends in physical education and female sports participation. Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons that cater to girls' learning styles. A commitment to high standards and creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
