Senior UI / UX Designer – Barclays

Senior UI/UX Designer – a critical component of our Agile Transformation Strategy. We are establishing a Design Centre of Excellence to embed Human‑Centred Design across all delivery Tribes. Without this role, Tribes will lack essential design support, increasing the risk of developing solutions that are not user‑led and may result in negative outcomes for our clients.
This role focuses on developing products and features for our private banking and wealth management colleagues’ customers. You will work closely with cross‑function partners within a tribe and squad to create user‑centred and visually compelling digital products for internal and consumer‑facing use.
Key responsibilities include conducting user research, designing intuitive user interfaces and experiences, collaborating closely with stakeholders, cross‑function partners and service designers to help drive continuous improvement and ensure our digital banking solutions meet user needs.
You will blend traditional UX/UI skills with an understanding of private bank user needs and processes, making it more specialised than standard digital product design roles.

Accountabilities
* Execute user research and usability tests to understand customer needs, pain points, and integrate feedback into banking products and services through collaboration with product managers and developers.
* Create intuitive and user‑friendly interfaces for digital banking platforms and applications to provide a seamless and engaging user experience.
* Design and maintain visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with the bank’s brand identity and design guidelines across digital products.
* Create wireframes and interactive prototypes for visualisation and testing of product concepts and features before development.
* Ensure accessibility compliance to provide an inclusive experience for all users.
* Monitor industry trends, design best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve design quality and innovation.
