Renowned for its stunning surroundings, excellent facilities, and exceptional service We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our team and support the smooth running of our financial operations. Role Overview: We are seeking a Bookkeeper to primarily manage purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach to financial data, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality service to clients and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Prepare and perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll, including pensions and statutory payments Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records Support month-end procedures, including accruals and prepayments Liaise with suppliers and clients to resolve queries in a professional and timely manner Assist with VAT returns and other ad-hoc finance tasks as required Work closely with the wider team to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance Requirements: Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) Proven experience working in a similar accounts assistant role Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage 50, Xero, AutoEntry, Bright Pay) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Ongoing professional development and training support Friendly, supportive working environment Flexible working options How to Apply: If you are interested in applying please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
